Floating Out take. FOT 50 mm hose.**Dont get your drinking water from the anaerobic, [oxygen depleted bacterial zone up to 40cm from the bottom] where all debris including bird droppings, aerial sprays, dead insects settle.
I repair plastic tanks and commonly find worms, slugs, frogs & dead birds in the sludge just below the outlet to what could be YOUR pump and filters.
With a Floating Out-Take’ your filters will last longer and water will be fresher as water is drawn from 300mm below the water level at all times.
Comes with 2.5m of food grade suction hose (total = 2.8M), which is suitable for all tanks up to 30,000 Litres. The ‘FFOT’ also comes with an intake screen elevator which prevents the intake from sitting in the sludge when water level is very low.

Easy to fit to an empty tank, of course, and just about as easy to install to a full tank thus; Shut your ball valve off. Disconnect the pipe from the valve and connect it to an external pipe running up the tank to the manhole. Cut a tank fitting hole less than an arms length and to the side of the manhole. Use a tank fitting connected to the FOT. The FOT hose will follow the float up or down as per the water level. The old ball valve becomes a drain outlet. A non return valve is required.

A non return valve will be needed if the tank is below your dwelling and not needed if the tank is level with or above your dwelling etc, these vary in price on size, from $20 +gst (25mm) ea.
